Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission has issued Type 1 and Type 4 licenses to DigiFT, positioning it among the first non-custodial platforms leveraging smart contracts for tokenized securities. The authorization permits DigiFT to provide regulated securities dealing and investment advisory services for institutional and accredited investors.

DigiFT's infrastructure operates via smart contracts, enabling automated, transparent transactions without direct custody of client assets. The platform has already partnered with asset managers like UBS Asset Management and Invesco to tokenize money market funds and private credit strategies.

"This authorization reinforces institutional trust in tokenized finance and brings us closer to enabling an open, on-chain economy," said Henry Zhang, founder and CEO of DigiFT. The Hong Kong license complements DigiFT's existing Monetary Authority of Singapore approval, creating a dual-jurisdiction framework for product structuring and distribution.

Kevin Loo, CEO of DigiFT Hong Kong, emphasized the platform's distinction as the first licensed tokenized asset distributor in the territory built on smart contract-enabled infrastructure.
